Speaking at a Conference

Make an impact by submitting a paper and presenting your achievements at the annual conference or a workshop. Presenting a paper enhances your professional credentials and gives your organisation recognition for its accomplishments. A special speaker registration package is available.

The speaker award programme recognises speakers who receive excellent ratings on their presentations at the annual conference. We provide speakers with detailed and constructive feedback on their presentation.

Getting Involved

Joining a committee or the board is an excellent opportunity to network, sharpen management skills and keep current with the industry.

The GITA Board is made up of member representatives who work in a voluntary capacity. The board meets monthly either face to face or by telephone/video conference. Board members take on a specific portfolio (e.g. Membership, Marketing, Events) working closely with GITA staff. Primary members, corporate and individual members may nominate to join the Board at the Annual General Meeting.

Annual Conference Committee - Members plan all aspects of the Winter event, meeting regularly face to face or by conference call.

Events committees- local workshops also have an organising committee.

Working Groups - come together to write discussion papers or lobby government.
